Julie Parham is Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Marketing Strategy & Communications at Sarmaya Partners.

Based in the San Diego metro area, Julie brings over 20 years of experience in B2B and B2C marketing, including nine years in financial services. At Sarmaya, Julie leads brand strategy, communications, and marketing initiatives as she translates complex investment ideas into compelling narratives that resonate with clients and partners.

In her role as Chief Compliance Officer, Julie draws on her paralegal training and deep understanding of regulatory frameworks to ensure Sarmaya’s communications and operations align with industry standards. In this role, Julie aligns Saymaya’s brand integrity with compliance oversight.

Prior experience:

  • Truist Wealth – Led communications for the Investment Advisory Group, supporting top thought leaders including the co-chief investment officers. Julie was also the liaison for the group with compliance and supervision, ensuring processes and content were within guidelines. Julie was recognized with the Truist Performance Award in 2022 for going above and beyond to bring purpose to clients, communities & teammates.
  • Marketing Director – Developed integrated campaigns and brand strategies across executive, sales, and operational teams in both corporate and agency settings.
  • Director of Sales & Marketing – Oversaw brand development and go-to-market strategies, aligning messaging with business objectives across diverse industries.

Julie holds a B.A. in Political Science from Pepperdine University and earned a graduate certificate with honors from the University of San Diego’s Lawyer’s Assistant Program. Her paralegal training enhances her ability to navigate compliance requirements and support strategic decision-making. She is also an active volunteer with the Veterans Golf Association of California (2024–present), reflecting her commitment to community and service.
